Nectarines with panettone

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup dry roasted hazelnuts, roughly chopped
  • pinch ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 thick slices panettone or fruit bread (see tip)
  • 4 large nectarines, halved, stones removed, thinly sliced

Method

    Combine hazelnuts, cinnamon and honey in a small, heatproof, microwavesafe bowl. Microwave on high (100%) for 30 to 45 seconds or until syrupy.

    Meanwhile, toast panettone or fruit bread until golden. Cut in half diagonally. Place on plates. Top with nectarines. Drizzle with hazelnut mixture. Serve.
