Ingredients

1 cup caster sugar

1/4 cup cocoa powder, sifted

1 1/2 cups self-raising flour

1/2 cup walnut crumbs

2 eggs

3/4 cup milk

125g butter, melted

Vanilla ice-cream, to serve
Sauce

180g dark chocolate

1/3 cup thickened cream
Method

1Grease a 20cm-square microwave-safe dish. Line base and sides with baking paper.

2Combine sugar, cocoa, flour and walnuts in a bowl. Add egg, milk and butter. Mix well to combine. Pour mixture into dish.

3Microwave on MEDIUM-HIGH (75%) for 6 to 7 minutes or until just firm to touch.

4Meanwhile, make Sauce: Place chocolate and cream in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring, for 2 minutes or until smooth.

5Turn cake onto a baking paper-lined wire rack. Carefully cut into 8 pieces. Drizzle with sauce. Serve with ice-cream.
