Ingredients

375g dried macaroni pasta

1/2 cup grated reduced-fat cheddar cheese

2/3 cup grated reduced-fat mozzarella cheese

70g feta, crumbled
Basic tomato sauce

150g leg ham, chopped

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 medium brown onion, finely chopped

2 garlic cloves, crushed

2 tablespoons tomato paste
-
2 x 400g cans diced tomatoes

1/4 cup finely chopped fresh basil leaves

375g broccoli, trimmed, cut into small florets
Method

1Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add ham, onion and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes or until onion has softened.

2Add tomato paste. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Add tomato. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes or until sauce has thickened slightly. Add broccoli to sauce for the last 5 minutes of cooking time.Add basil. Stir to combine. Serve.

3Meanwhile, cook pasta in a saucepan of boiling, salted water, following packet directions, until tender. Drain. Return to pan. Add sauce and cheddar. Toss to combine.

4Preheat grill on high. Transfer pasta mixture to an 8 cup-capacity ovenproof dish. Sprinkle with mozzarella and feta. Grill for 5 minutes or until cheese melts. Serve.
