Garlic and herb bread

  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt flakes
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) extra virgin olive oil
  • 8 crusty sourdough rolls, halved

    Preheat oven to 200°C. Combine the garlic, basil, oregano and salt in a small bowl. Stir in the oil. Season with pepper.

    Place the bread, cut-side up, on a large baking tray. Brush with the oil mixture. Cover with foil. Bake for 15 minutes. Uncover. Bake for a further 5 minutes or until crisp. Serve.
