Beef and cheddar patties

Ingredients

  • 500g beef mince
  • 1 small brown onion, grated
  • 1/3 cup grated cheddar
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 1/4 cups fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon smoky barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Method

    Place mince, onion, cheddar, parsley, garlic, breadcrumbs, sauces and egg in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Mix to combine. Shape mixture into 6 patties. Place on a plate. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

    Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook patties, in 2 batches, for 4 to 5 minutes each side or until browned and cooked through. Serve.
