Ingredients

500g beef mince

1 small brown onion, grated

1/3 cup grated cheddar

1/4 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves

1 garlic clove, crushed

1 1/4 cups fresh breadcrumbs

1 tablespoon smoky barbecue sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 egg, lightly beaten

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
Method

1Place mince, onion, cheddar, parsley, garlic, breadcrumbs, sauces and egg in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Mix to combine. Shape mixture into 6 patties. Place on a plate. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

2Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook patties, in 2 batches, for 4 to 5 minutes each side or until browned and cooked through. Serve.
